Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

CP Training Solutions is cognisant of our duties to patients, service users, employees, and the local community, and expects all of our suppliers to follow the same ethical standards. We are committed to eliminating modern slavery and human trafficking from our supply chains and all aspects of our operations. Our internal policies reflect our commitment to acting responsibly and with integrity in all business interactions.

We have various internal policies in place to ensure that our company operations are ethical and transparent. Some examples are:

Recruitment policy: To prevent human trafficking or persons being forced to work against their will, CP Training Solutions have a strict recruitment strategy in place, which includes undertaking eligibility checks for all directly employed staff in the UK.

Equal opportunities: We have implemented several procedures to protect employees from poor treatment and/or exploitation, all of which are in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. These include providing fair pay rates, fair terms and conditions of employment, and access to training and development opportunities.

Safeguarding policies: We follow the concepts behind both our policies for protecting children and adults. These provide clear instructions for our employees on how to raise safeguarding concerns about the treatment of colleagues or persons using our services, as well as practices inside our business or supplier chain.

Whistleblowing policy: We run a whistleblower policy so that all employees know that they can voice concerns about how colleagues or people receiving our services are being handled, or about activities within our business or supply chain, without fear of retribution.

Standards for business behaviour: This code describes how we operate as an organisation and how we want our workers to behave.

Training

Staff can receive advice and training on modern slavery and human trafficking through our mandated safeguarding children and adults training programmes, safeguarding policies and procedures, and safeguarding leads. It is also discussed during our mandatory staff introduction training.

We are exploring strategies to consistently raise awareness inside our business and ensure a high level of understanding of the issues associated with modern slavery and human trafficking.

Our performance indicators

We will know the effectiveness of the efforts we are taking to ensure that slavery and/or human trafficking do not occur inside our business or supply chain if:

Our personnel, the general public, and law enforcement authorities have not reported any instances of modern slavery.
